I needed to lie down after reading this, with an oxygen mask. I've come out in sympathy u see. Well done. Although if you were REALLY serious you wouldn't have stooped for the traffic. They don't stop in films or tv progs do they, apart from the keystone cops

I didn't want to be *that* runner - y'know, the one about whom car drivers who pay their road tax write to their MP because they're hogging *their* tarmac.... 🀣

Nonsense. Just print out fliers to give them reading Keep Calm and Drivel On.

Well done. You will be totally fine on the weekend. I’ve already decided I’ll be doing a brisk walk over here on the other side of the world, of a similar length but somewhat slower, just to share the good vibes with you. I’ll be aiming to complete my 5km in under an hour. I did 4km this afternoon at a 5.5km per hour rate, so we’re both well on track. Sending heaps of hugs and best wishes my dear. πŸ€—πŸ€—πŸ˜˜

Thank you so much, Beth - I love that we're doing this together!

The last time I ran this race (I've done it twice before, but not for a while) it was on SUCH a hot day, I wasn't ready for it, and it took me nearly an hour!

I'm not aiming for a specific time - the winner will manage it in just over 15 minutes, if past records for the route are anything to go by - I will be VERY MUCH SLOWER than that! 🀣

(I'm not saying exactly when the race is, but to give you a small hint, it's a bank holiday long weekend over here this weekend. Keep your eyes peeled early week... πŸ˜‰)
