I am SO excited for you, Rebecca. You have faithfully trained, you are ready and now I only wish I could be there to egg you on! I will be there at the finish line in spirit. I wish you the best of success. As far as flying: Yeeoow!! I look forward to knowing what that is all about!

There'll be a post about the flying coming up soon, Sharron!

And thank you so much - I'll be thinking of you egging me on as I run the race tomorrow! We have a bank holiday Monday over here, which is why it's scheduled for what looks like a crazy day of the week!

Wow!!!! Gliders scare the heck out of me! But what an adrenaline rush! Good on you.

And re the running? So glad you’ll be part of this historic occasion. Enjoy!

LOL - the fact that they don't have an engine makes it all rather edge-of-seat stuff! It was wonderful, honestly!

I did my 5km brisk walk in under 52 minutes! And that included brief stops for a lost dog and cars in the village etc. I’m in my mid 60s so very impressed that you’ve improved my fitness that dramatically in such a short time! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Hope your run goes as well. 🤗🤗😘😃🐾🐾

Beth, you are AWESOME!!!! I was so thrilled to read this! You've won this race with me already! 🏆

(I'm not sure how thrilled I am about the lost dog, though - did you manage to reunite it with its person?)

I absolutely love how you've followed me on my attempt to regain my fitness, and that it's paid such dividends! Thank YOU for being there the whole way - you're such a friend!

The race is tomorrow (Monday), which is a public holiday over here. Oh, I've just remembered what I'd meant to add to the Day 31 post I've just published - I'll be walking 3-ish km over fields first, in order to get to the start line, so I'm hoping to be nicely warmed up (although not too tired out!) before I actually begin running! I'll have the chance to get my breath back from my walk while I'm queuing up to collect my race number.

Oh my goodness. Yes, that certainly adds an additional degree of difficulty! You’ll certainly have earned that beer. And a lift home perhaps. Sending wonderful weather vibes and Good Fun vibes and heaps of best wishes. 🤗🤗🤗😘😘

The lift home, I'm glad to say, wasn't necessary - I live a 2-minute walk from the finish line! VERY convenient! 😊

The weather was great - sunny but breezy, so not too hot. MUCH better than on the previous occasion I attempted this thing! 🤣

What?!? Flying! Wowie wow wow! Beautiful pic, must have been such a wonderful adventure!! Also, what is the date of your race? Will it be live streamed so I can watch you cross the finish line? Dig deep!

I was so lucky - it was an incredible experience, especially because it was with my Dad! I'll be writing about it soon (although a Saturday post about the King's Head Canter - which is tomorrow (Monday), a public holiday over here - will probably pip it to the post!

I shall imagine your words 'dig deep' tomorrow as I'm running - thank you so much, Mary! They'll be such a help! 😘

You can do it! Breathe in, breathe out, every step you run is one step closer to the finish. Find that inner place where your athleticism thrives and let it help you over the line! Go you!!!

Gosh, I hope I can FIND that athleticism in the morning! 😉

Thank you so much for following me on this journey, Mary!

Welcome! and I'll be in the helicopter above the race, following every step, perfect soundtrack in the background, my perfect-for-broadcasting voice keeping the throngs entertained. :-) Not really, but what fun would that be.

I am SO going to be looking out for that helicopter in the morning! 🙌

How did you do, Rebecca? I was thinking of you shaking hands with hills and digging deep. :-)

Perhaps you could fly during the race? Ha ha!

But seriously, I'm very proud of you for taking this on.

And I hope that things went well during the run. :).

Oh gosh, I wish I'd thought of that! 😉

Seriously, though - I had a GREAT time out there today - thank you so much for cheering me on - it's meant such a lot to me this whole journey! I've just published the final post of the Jog log (with a whole Saturday post coming up soon about it too, I hope!). xxx
