Well done! I remember that glorious feeling of WANTING to get out and run. What an awful feeling to see that rain!! Oh no!

I worked on Christmas Island in the Indian Ocean for a year back in the 80s. I remember thinking ‘Why not go running in the rain?’ I made it as far as the front gate. I had rarely experienced ‘tropical rain’ and hadn’t realised that it would literally be impossible to actually SEE with soaked hair in the eyes and water pouring down my face.

Congratulations on remembering that there are other alternatives! It’s 9pm over here, so I will leave the exercise video until tomorrow (or the day after), but What Fun!!! There’s an Aussie company trying to get us ‘oldies’ fitter and stronger but it’s amazing how easy it is to not do it!! Sigh….

I’m currently housesitting in a proper town and they have a heated pool a five minute walk away. I try to fit in a swim every two or three days because it is such a pleasure! I’m an incredibly slow swimmer but the body really does enjoy sensible exercise.

Anyway, this is proof that somebody is reading and enjoying your posts!! Cheering you on from far off Australia. Sending heaps of hugs and best wishes. Take care dear Rebecca. All the best.

Thanks, Beth!

Wow, I'm so impressed with your running in the rain story! I don't much mind running in light rain, but monsoon levels? No thanks! I learned when I used to run regularly that snow is really difficult to run in because those large flakes demand the eyes' attention, and it's really hard to focus on where you're going. On the one occasion I ventured out in a snow flurry I could barely run in a straight line - not because it was slippery, but because the flakes were so distracting. 🤣

Do check out the exercise video - in fact, Team Body Project are based Down Under! They're in Brisbane (although Daniel's actually from London).

Your housesitting spot sounds great - enjoy! And yay for swimming - I can't swim a stroke, but I can keep going for ages with doggy-paddle.

Thanks so much for reading and commenting, Beth - I really appreciate you. ♥️ My Jog log 🏃🏻 posts are much less visible than all my others, because I'm not e-mailing them or posting them on my homepage!

All true!!! 🤣

I hadn't used them for ages, and had forgotten that the Velcro on one of them wasn't really holding fast any more. Ooopsie. No harm done, though. Reckon I'll need gaffer tape if I want to wear that one again! 🤣
