I’ve always felt a stigma about being lost, but since I’ve started exploring it here I’m thinking more and more that it’s something that affects more people than I’d imagined, and it’s simply that they’re not ‘out’ about it!

Agreed! I wouldn’t be without my knee-high gaiters when it’s wet and muddy, and ankle gaiters are absolutely my new favorite kit for summer walks!

Looking forward to reading about your joys of getting lost!

ah, gaiters! i have several wonderful pairs of ankle gaiters for both hiking and working around the farm (when i'm not wearing tall boots). they are a lifesaver! i even have a pair infused with insect repellant that prevent ticks climbing up your legs from the tall grass. they seem to work well when i remember to put them on, which is the only factor preventing them from working even better...

Gaiters infused with insect repellent - that's a genius idea! Since I started wading through long grass in shorts rather than trousers I'm being eaten alive by all manner of vicious bitey things - you've reminded me to dig out the 'Smidge'! Ticks aren't too common around here, thankfully, but I do try to remember to check for any after every walk.
