I must know - is the phrase 'board a bicycle with a view to riding it' actually written in the training manual??! Haha!

The pothole ads are brilliant, thank you for sharing them. Maybe they will help in your community Terry?

Good luck with the heatwave, may there be no fires.

LOL, Donna - no, those words are mine! But trust me, any bike course that *I* ever take would need to very slowly introduce me to the idea of boarding a bicycle with a view to riding it, if only to get me into the right mindset! 🤣

I haven't heard of any fires, thankfully, but since I'd scheduled this post, the whole country apart from one area in the north-west has been upgraded to an amber heat health alert, with 'tropical nights' on the cards. Now, that sounds rather fun - I was thinking piña coladas and dancing - but no, it means that the temperature will not drop below 20° C overnight. 🥵

"Terry, should we ever meet, I shall bring a cushion to sit on. My comfort is assured!" Problem solved. I wish solutions were always so easy. I loved your desserts. I am working on Shakespearean cocktails, myself. Reporting soon. Love the letters. You two are a match made in heaven.

How about a Singapore Slings and Arrows?

YES!!!!!! That's absolutely perfect, Sharron! Cocktails have in the past got me into all kinds of trouble - from now on, in your honour, I shall simply describe any such behaviour as 'outrageous fortune'! 🤣

Giggles and laughs aplenty. I love yours and Terry's letters!

What on earth is a suitable posture for riding a bike? My bike is a 1950's green and rusted gem with a bike basket, and the only way to ride is upright (think Edwardian)!

And planting things in the potholes - brilliant!

Your bike sounds beautiful, Prue! Wonderful! Mine’s green, too - and my bike helmet is VERY green - it stands out a mile!

I haven’t done the course, so I’ve no clue as to the correct posture - I mean, I don’t pay much attention to how I’m perched on the thing, as long as I’m comfy! 😊

Thanks so much for reading - I’m glad you enjoy our letters - we have fun writing them! 🤣
