I enjoyed this a lot! I used to be baffled by the dates in capital letters at the end of movies and TV shows and could only guess them if the number stayed on screen long enough, or the date was short enough. No "freeze-framing' back in those days!

A very very happy birthday to you dear Rebecca and hoping the next 50 your include a surge of energy back to you before settling into a lovely walking land writerly life! You have a book to write, after all 🤗❤️🎉

Aww, thank you, Tracey! Ooooh, iron - good advice - I think they’ve checked that, but I’ll definitely mention it. Adding it to my list of questions for the doc! xxx

What a lovely letter, Rebecca! Playfulness with words and language is not a skill (or temperament) all writers possess. You seem to have received two servings. I’m delighted for you to have celebrated your L birthday with a bit of a getaway with your husband…and condensation inside your caravan. I’m at mid stride of year LXXV and your joyful state of mind encourages me to seek more joy going forward. All the very best. Always.

So kind, Gary - I appreciate you! I had such fun writing this post - it ended up being about all kinds of things I hadn’t realised would sneak in there!

We love our little VW camper (even though I had been totally against the idea to start with - but Jim legitimately needed one for work, so fair enough) and like to get away as often as possible. In the cooler months, though, the early morning condensation is a bit of a pain, but otherwise - to my enduring surprise - I absolutely LOVE it. 😊

Is “Happy Camper” in the dialect on your side of the pond? Here, its use is more of a general reference to a positive state of mind. I enjoyed reading that you had fun writing the post. I hope at least as much as I from reading it!

Happy L-th birthday to a Lovely Lady I have never met. I, too, am a Left-Handed Loser ( how that photo makes me Laugh. An entire post about the Letter L! There is absolutely a story everywhere. Thanks for an entertaining read over toast and coffee. Just Loll and Laze all week if you like and if anyone objects, just tell them Sharron said it was all right.

LEFT-HANDED LOSERS UNITE!!! 🙌 I’ll never forget when I made that gesture for the first time - I was sooooooo embarrassed when I realised my L was backwards!

Lolling and lazing is the way forward, definitely - you are a fount of not only superb writing but also of terrific advice. Thank you!
